Made famous by the Esquire Network’s reality-based show Brew Dogs, BrewDog Brewery produces a wide range of craft beers from its Scottish brewery in Ellon, Aberdeenshire. The state-of-the-art facility is one of the most technologically advanced and environmentally friendly breweries in the world. Core beers include the flagship Punk IPA, a powerfully hoppy American-style ale, the red 5 AM Ale, the hoppy, California-style pale ale, and the Libertine Black IPA.

CARLSBERG

With a history that dates back to 1847, Carlsberg’s flagship beer was first brewed in 1904 by the son of the brewery’s founder. The introduction of the pilsner coincided with the icon Art Nouveau logo that has remained relatively untouched ever since. Slightly sweet with an herbal hop presence, Carlsberg finished with moderately bitter refreshment. Carlsberg also produces the Special Brew and the Elephant Beer.

CHIMAY

Chimay Brewery is located in the Scourmont Abbey, a Trappist monastery, and is one of the ten breweries worldwide that produce Trappist beer. The Belgium brewer produces four ales: the Chimay Red Cap, the Chimay Triple, the Chimay Blue Cap and the Chimay Gold. They also make one style exclusively for the monks. The oldest is the Chimay Red Cap, which presents with a beautiful copper color and a slightly fruity aroma and taste.

HACKER-PSCHORR

Born in 1972 of a merger between two Munich breweries (Hacker and Pschorr) that had been brewing as early as the 1400s, Hacker-Pschorr produces over 15 beers that are distributed worldwide. The flagship beer is the traditional, unfiltered Hacker-Pschorr Weiss with its intense golden hue, fruity and citrusy flavor and refreshing finish. Hacker-Pschorr also brews the Munich Gold, Weiss Dark, Munich Dark and Original Oktoberfest Amber Marzen.

KONIG LUDWIG

Beers whose legacy have been entwined with Bavarian royalty for centuries, Konig Ludwig beers have been brewed in the cellars of Kaltenberg Castle since 1871, which is still a Royal residence. The authentic Bavarian portfolio of beers includes the Konig Ludwig Weiss (Royal Bavarian Hefe-Weizen), a well-crafted classic Hefeweizen with a cloudy golden body, thick fluffy head, aroma of citrus and banana, and slightly sweet, grainy taste. The Konig Ludwig Dunkel is a dark brown lager with a sticky caramel head and sweet yet full flavor.

PALM

Belgium’s top-selling ale is now available in the United States. Made with English hops, French barley and Belgian yeast, PALM has a fresh taste, toasted malt and orange aromas, and a refreshingly clean finish. The roasted champagne malt gives PALM its amber color.

PAULANER

Established in 1634 by the Minim friars in Munich, Paulaner is one of the six breweries that provide beer for Oktoberfest, the German beer festival dating from 1810. The naturally cloudy Hefe-Weizen is the brewery’s best-selling product with its golden body and fruity, mild flavor. Paulaner also brews the Munich Premium Lager, a golden blond, full-bodied and slightly hoppy beer, the golden, bottom-fermented Oktoberfest Marzen, and the founding Paulaner beer, the Salvator Double Bock.

SCHOFFERHOFER

First brewed in 1978, Schöfferhofer Weizen was the first wheat beer in Germany to be brewed outside Bavaria. Earning numerous awards, it has proved to be one of the most successful wheat beer brands in Germany. Its fruity, citrusy character, combined with a pleasant hint of clove, make Schöfferhofer an enjoyable, sparklingly smooth beverage. Featuring a lighter body than most wheat beers, Schöfferhofer is often characterized as “the champagne among wheat beers.”

THEAKSTON

Founded in 1827, Theakston is an independent, family-run brewery located in Masham, North Yorkshire. The company is known for brewing a wide range of cask, brewery conditioned and bottled ales for the UK domestic and several overseas markets. The 19th century brewery features the original ‘tower’ construction, and as such, its beers are produced using the traditional English top-fermented brewing method. Among the beers produced is the world-renowned Theakston Old Peculier, a rich, dark and smooth tasting ale, brewed using the traditional Fuggle hop.
