OVERVIEW OF LOCAL CRAFT
The beers next door. Nothing says hometown pride like serving the brews that were made just down the street. Brewed with your clientele in mind, our portfolio of local craft beers are diverse, delicious and reflect the local flavors that help your customers feel at home.
Our Local Craft Family:
AARDWOLF BREWING CO.
Christened after a small mammal whose name means “earth wolf” (which is also the Latin translation of the word hops), Aardwolf Brewing is a highly creative, small-batch brewery with a huge local presence and a keen sense of humor. Their long list of brews include the sessionable Nonchalant America IPA, the Styrofoam Pony American Stout, and the cherry-lime-hibiscus Gose, the Hipster Popsicle – amongst many, many others.
INTUITION ALE WORKS
Established in 2010, this Jacksonville-based craft brewery specializes in handcrafted small-batch ales in a wide range of styles. Florida’s first craft brewery to can their beers, Intuition Ale Works’ flagship is People’s Pale Ale, an American-style pale ale inspired by the west coast. It features two-row malted barley and two caramel malts, magnum hops for bittering, and traditional Williamette and Cascade hops for crisp, citrus aromas. And that’s just the start of Intuition’s lengthy lineup.
PINGLEHEAD BREWING COMPANY
Self-described as “beer with attitude,” the people behind Pinglehead Brewing Company practiced their craft from years inside the walls of Orange Park’s Brewer’s Pizza, testing batch after batch with the pizzeria’s willing customers. Now, the brewery produces dozens of handcrafted beers, with six on their permanent roster. Notables include the Black hOPs India Pale Ale, which balances traditional IPA sharpness with smooth chocolate of robust stouts, and the flagship Pinglehead American Amber featuring a clear red body, off-white head and a highly drinkable bittersweet taste.
VETERAN’S UNITED CRAFT BREWERY
Founded by a Naval Flight Officer and avid home brewer, Veteran’s United Craft Brewery boasts a focus on high-quality ingredients for Jacksonville’s discerning beer drinkers. Offering three year-round beers, four limited-release brands and a seasonal favorite – amongst multiple small batches – Veteran’s has quickly become a local staple. Year-round options include the Raging Blond Ale, a thirst-quenching, malt-heavy ale with loads of unusual hop flavor, the Hopbanshee India Pale Ale whose “screaming” hop presence inspired the name, and the rich, caramel Scout Dog 44 Amber Ale.
ZETA BREWING COMPANY
A Jacksonville Beach brewpub with a diverse menu and clientele, Zeta Brewing Company is a local favorite whose beer portfolio is getting lots of local buzz. Their American Garage IPA is inspired by a traditional English style Pale Ale, but is brewed using American ingredients. Power to the Porter Brown Porter offers hints of roast and chocolate qualities, and Ruby Beach American Wheat has a grainy wheat character with a medium body. And that’s just the beginning.
